The Civil Committee for the Rescue of Political Hostages and Prisoners in Tajikistan announces that a protest by Tajik citizens, who got refugee status in European countries, will take place on December 10th, 2018 in Berlin near the Embassy of Tajikistan.
The demand of the protest from Tajik authorities is immediate and unconditional fulfilment of UN Human Rights Committee’s request on releasing political prisoners: the founder of ‘New Tajikistan’ party Zaid Saidov, deputy chairman of the IRPT Makhmadali Khaitov, and the lawyer Buzurgmehr Yorov, who received sentences varying from 28 years to life imprisonment.
We also demand from Tajik authorities to publish the full list of dead and injured, resulted from mass extrajudicial shooting of prisoners in the CLC №3/3 in Khujand, which took place on November 7. We demand the punishment of those who ordered to shoot at unarmed citizens and is guilty of inadequate use of force.
We call upon international community to demand a full report from Tajik authorities on this case and on people that are guilty for the mass execution and on those who were punished according to the laws of Tajikistan for this crime against mankind.
We call upon Tajikistan’s partners in Europe and in the whole world to end their economic support and funding the regime of Emomali Rahmon, who allocates credits not to strengthen democracy and security, but to repress opposition and dissidents, and to provoke and fuel radicalism.
The Civil Committee for the Rescue of Political Hostages and Prisoners in Tajikistan calls upon all citizens of Tajikistan and all Tajik political, public and human rights organizations, all civil society of Tajikistan, European countries and all people of goodwill to support our demands.
Sincerely,
The Civil Committee for the Rescue of Political Hostages and Prisoners in Tajikistan
